Bal Harbour, FL
The Bal Harbour Jetty and Gateway design is a cohesive vision for the public spaces within this renowned oceanfront village. The jetty is reimagined to reflect the local history and character, while establishing the essential infrastructure needed to support the area’s vibrant tourism. This phased, multi-year initiative will enhance three distinct areas: the Cut Walk Jetty at the northern edge of the village, which will be upgraded with improved access and amenities; the integration of 96 Street with surrounding streetscapes to facilitate easier pedestrian access to the beach; and the creation of a unique streetscape identity along Collins Avenue, which will transform the existing Herman Fultz Parking Area into a safer and more aesthetically pleasing multi-modal transit hub.
A crucial component of this development is an inclusive public engagement process that involves community outreach and town-wide initiatives. This engagement was vital in shaping the final plans, ensuring that enhancements reflect the desires of residents and significantly improve the overall visitor experience.
