The Wellesley Science Hill Vision Plan reimagines 47 acres of the campus and the Wellesley Botanic Garden, emphasizing hydrology, ecology, and resilience. This plan creates a sustainable, biodiverse landscape that fosters ecological discovery, seamlessly integrating academic learning with the natural systems that shape the campus. While addressing some pressing resiliency management issues on campus, the plan integrates stormwater systems into a living laboratory for environmental research. The design encourages a deeper connection to nature. This revitalized space provides students with experiential learning opportunities, supporting both environmental stewardship and academic growth.

Building on the campus's rich activist, the plan looks to the future by integrating Wellesley’s sustainability and climate neutrality goals. The vision plan weaves collaborative pedagogy into the landscape programming, building a strong connection between academic growth and environmental stewardship.
Through an extensive campus engagement process, the idea of transformation and the celebration of natural systems became the guiding principle of the plan.
