Minneapolis Institute of Art Plan
Minneapolis, MI
Minneapolis, MI
The Minneapolis Institute of Art serves as an 8.5-acre urban cultural center for the Twin Cities, housing an extensive collection of American and Indigenous art while hosting traveling national and international exhibitions. In collaboration with HGA Architects, this comprehensive master plan reimagines the entry identity and forges connections between the various landscaped spaces and the surrounding neighborhood, while enhancing mobility and access to the institution. The design features a garden courtyard, a series of sculpture exhibition areas, and an entry plaza and garden that define the campus’s multiple entrances.
